Phoenician Sand Dance was created from behind the scenes footage of Dancing for Maya (2005). We dig and crawl as the waves continuously blur our lines.

The body and the labor — are explored in affinity with the sea, the sand, and the changing of the sky. In this video, the digging marks are not filmed — the panoptic (historic) perspective showing the bigger picture is not available to the viewer.
