Oranim - Art Institute Gallery, TivoN
With David Goss
This was a joint exhibition in which I had showcased my work alongside painter David Goss, who studied with me at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem and graduated alongside me in 1994.
In the year preceding the exhibition, Goss and I maintained a creative dialogue that we had sustained via visits at each other's studios and the sharing of our work processes. The result of our dialogue is the show at Oranim.
While I was inspired by Goss' intentional unraveling of the painting process and his emphasis on both suffering and tolerance, Goss found in my sculptures a balance between violence and serenity. Together, we crafted an artistic conversation 19 years after we last worked side by side.
